The luxury of two hulls

Safe, comfortable, easy and fun as well! It’s no surprise that sailing a catamaran is hugely popular and attracting a growing number of novices. Unlike a monohull vessel, a catamaran has two hulls. It is this key difference that provides a high level of comfort in catamaran charter. With two hulls there’s more room for additional privacy, which is something that’s especially appreciated by charter guests. It allows you to enjoy many wonderful moments together as a larger group over dinner in the cockpit or to just retreat and read a book. A family catamaran holiday can be all the more relaxing when the children are safely settled in one hull and the parents are quartered in the other. A number of the catamarans we offer also have a large flybridge to extend the space available even further. On a multihull charter catamaran, cooking, eating and daily life all take place on one level, while for sleeping you can retreat to the lower level – experience pure luxury on the water!

Apart from the extra space, another advantage of catamarans is their stability on the water. On a catamaran you won’t find yourself getting seasick so easily. Why? Catamarans are very stable on the water and rock less than monohull vessels, especially when at anchor. A big bonus with catamarans is that they’re easy to handle. Key facts: each hull has its own propulsion, which means a total of two motors each with a shaft and propeller. As the two propellers are several metres apart, this makes catamarans easier to steer than monohull vessels, especially when manoeuvring in harbours. And thanks to their comparatively shallow draft, it is often possible to get to anchorages that many monohull ships simply can’t reach.
